Barefoot Models & Talent was founded in 1996 by Suzanne Massingill (that would be me, in the picture with my 2 most important talent of all).
Suzanne moved to Mobile from Atlanta where she worked as a Casting director for one of the most successful Casting facilities in the South. Mainly casting national and local commercials there, she moved to L.A. – Lower Alabama where she quickly realized there was nothing but “modeling schools” in the area. Seeing the need for an actual “booking” talent agency in the area, Barefoot was born.
Many years and commercials later, we still remain the most respected source of talent along the Gulf Coast. We are now casting for films (extras and principals), commercials, runway shows, print, industrial films, trade shows, make-up artists and even fashion production. We gladly work with other agencies around the country to provide the best available work for our talent and the best available talent for our clients.

Be Discovered
We book professional talent for advertising, conventions, commercials, industrials andfilms. We do not have a “modeling” school to attend, nor do we have any “sign up” fees. We book talent ages infant to 90! We expect our talent and parents to understand that this is a business and to emphasize how much professionalism is expected of the people that we represent. The most important ability in this business is the ability to follow directions correctly. You also, must have the ability to separate reality from fantasy in the modeling world.

We interview new talent everyevery 6-8 weeks. We see them in intervals of kids, teens, and adults. You will receive a call within that time period if we are interested in interviewing you or your child.
We screen new talent through non-returnable non-solicited photographs:
If you are already currently working as a paid talent, and have a recent composite card or a head shot, please send one to us, along with a resume through the mail or e-mail.
If you have never worked as a model or talent for pay, you must submit 2 recent snapshots of yourself or your child- one full body, one close up (no more than three). We prefer simple and natural snapshots which are age appropriate. This means no make-up for anyone under the age of 15 years old.

Because we are busy booking talent, that we already represent, we cannot acknowledge the receipt of your photograph. Please do not call the agency to inquire about your photo. The decision not to interview an applicant is based on current market conditions. If you wish, you may re-submit after 6 months.

In order for us to market you or your child we must have the tools to best represent you. You will be expected to fulfill your requirement of shooting a photo test with a professional photographer and getting a composite card or head shot printed —at your own expense. We have several photographers that we can recommend to you.

If you are dropping off, there is a drop off box outside the office for your convenience.
Agents will not discuss pictures with you at the time you drop them off. We have specific days for viewing pictures from new talent. All information must be included on the back of the picture.
